JAMMU, DECEMBER 27 - The Governor, Mr. N. N. Vohra, today paid tributes to the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and other martyrs of Karbala.

In a message on the eve of Aashoor-e-Muharram, the Governor said that the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) reminds mankind of the high principles of human dignity and morality. He said that the underlying message in the sacrifice of the Karbala martyrs is that one should not deviate from the path of righteousness, whatever be the price to be paid, adding that the path of truth and piety always prevails.

The Governor prayed for harmony, peace and normalcy in the State.
