JAMMU, NOVEMBER 9 - Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, has greeted the people on the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev’s Birthday and expressed fervent expectation that this auspicious occasion would be a harbinger of sustained peace, progress and prosperity in the State.

In his message of felicitations, the Governor described Guru Nanak Devji as an apostle of peace and tolerance, adding that his teachings would continue to inspire generations, leading them to the path of righteousness and brotherhood. He said that Guruji had endeavoured, all his life, for securing social justice and equality and to bring about peace and harmony in the society.

Hoping that this auspicious occasion would further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, communal harmony and amity, the Governor prayed for the well-being of the people of the State.
